Autumn is one of my favorite seasons, with the weather becoming crisp and cozy and everything starts having a holiday theme. I was inspired to make this fun little pumpkin activity by an Instagram post (forget the author, sorry!).
First I printed up a great pumpkin outline from www.donteatthepaste.com – I liked the simple structure, perfect for this activity!
I cut out the pumpkin printables to make them more aesthetically pleasing. I chose four different dried seeds – pinto beans, lima beans, lentils and popcorn. You could use more or less seeds if desired.
My kiddo loved gluing the beans into the different sections. But like many preschoolers, she started to dump as many beans on top of each other and made a very diverse mosaic, lol.
I love that my kiddo isn’t always a “color inside the lines” type of kid. 🙂
I made one too – I’m a “inside the lines” type of girl, haha. I think this activity would be excellent from as young as 2.5 years up until an adult (it was a hit for a mid-30’s mama! haha).
