As spring approaches, my toddler wants to be outside more and more. This year she has noticed the birds, asking me what kind they are. This little project uses an old milk carton and can be made in a matter of minutes.

First you’ll need empty washed milk cartons – allow to dry first too.

Cut out a square in both sides, make sure to leave a little on the bottom to hold in the bird seed!

Use a hole punch to make a hole in the top of it.

Thread some string or ribbon to use as a hanger. I used curly ribbon in blue from my gift wrapping supplies!

Add the bird seed, but not too much like I did, lol!

Hang up your bird feeder outside and watch the birds that come visit – what kind of birds do you see? Keep a journal with your kiddo of the birds that visit your feeder.
